I was charged US$32.79 the other day jumpseating out of YYZ to MSP on NWA.
My family memeber paid lot less traveling as non-rev...which I could've done too...am I missing something? Any insight is appreciated.

I have a lot of experience jumpseating out of Toronto. Usually the agents don't really know how to tax you properly. I don't know what airline you work for but if its any airline other than NW they probably taxed you using the OAL rate which is 32 and change. If you work for NW or one of the operating regionals you should have been put at a different rate. Usually its just as easy to non-rev out of Toronto unless you JS on AC or Jazz who don't charge the departure tax.

Ya I know. This was last winter, but I was a Mesaba employee jumpseating from YYZ-DTW on a Compass flight. And the ticket agent had a NW rate a CZ rate and an OAL rate. each in ascending order. I tried to get on at least the CZ rate but no she considered me OAL at $32 if I was to use passes it would be $18 I think...
