Default Repbulic vs. Skywest holding companies???

Why do the Republic pilots do everything to stay on one list, yet there are Skywest pilots (Skywest paint mostly) that think they are benefiting more from not combining the lists?

I'm just curious how same size airplane whipsawing is helping the Skywest pilots?

Separate lists are NEVER a good thing for the pilots involved. See Trans-States/Gojets as an example.

Merging the lists are always better for the overall pilot group both at the airlines in question, and for pilots in general.

Now that ASA pilots are on furlough, and Skywest looks like they will begin hiring, it may finally convince the pilot groups to start working to get the lists merged. This is just one example of many horrible things that can happen with separate lists (see TSA/GoJet)
