Most of the shoes from back then haven't changed... I still have my Eccos, same pair lol. There may be some better ones to discuss now.

Also, go with the rounded toe as apposed to the "block" toe, unless you want to look like Frankenstein.

Ecco Chelsea boots. No metal shank, no laces.

any toe turns into a "block" toe if you check the tire pressure with sufficient vigor on the walk-arounds

I just got the Allen Edmund Chelseas and I’ve been pretty impressed so far. They look just like my zip boots but no laces and super comfortable. I don’t know if they have the metal shank or not but they don’t set off the metal detectors.

Went through two pairs of Johnston and Murphy boots in two years and after they gave me a hard time on the warranty I pulled the trigger on a more expensive brand.

Does anyone have expericne with the Ecco city tray Chelsea style boot?

https://us.ecco.com/ecco-city-tray-mens-tall-chelsea-boots-512804.html?dwvar_512804_color=01001

It is Ecco brand so I assume it's good? The soles are rubber if that matters
