Below 100 knots, I would too. Above 100? Nope.

If you read the beginning of the article it wasn't just catastrophic failure of the 2 tires. I spoke with the capt of another RJ that was next in line for takeoff and supposedly both the flaps on that side and the hydraulic lines were affected (pierced/torn through?) as well. Apparently they tried to tow it a while ago but the mains started to collapse so they stopped. Secondhand info from the field, but I'm certain the crew did the right thing.

I wonder if Mesa has enough money in the bank to pay for the repairs??:o

either way good work !

Perhaps people will stop second guessing that PSA crew now after this... Looks like the Mesa crew did exactly what they had to do to make sure of a safe outcome. I will be interested in reading about this flap section that was damaged along with possible hydraulics..... And to think they did everything right and still stopped barely before the EMAS.....

Flown with the Captain before, great guy. Wouldn't expect anything less from this crew!
