However, until an integration occurs (which could take a while), the only actual amount of furloughs that need to be recalled before hiring occurs is well under a 100 by now. (original RAH pilots furloughed before the aquisitions.)

Bottom line is, if Republic needs pilots before the integration, then they will need to hire. The furloughed Frontier, Midwest, and Lynx pilots could not just start working for RP, RW, or S5 until an integration. Although, they could apply as a new-hire like anyone else.

So, I'll ask the question again: What is the deal with needing to recruit internal pilot interview volunteers, if they aren't going to start interviewing pilots?

Oh boy....

I know it may seem heartless the way I am writing. I am not in any way saying this is cool. I am only anticipating, from a legal and from a managerial standpoint, on why RAH managemet may be hiring off the street.

I am not a potential future pilot at RJET. I am just bringing this to the attention of the community. And I just wanted to gather information on what RAH management is trying to do.

Midwest's scope language was our original language from our first CBA! Nothing was traded for pay, and in fact it was even a concessionary agreement. For some unfathomable reason ($$$$$$$$$$$$$) we lost round one. Round two will be seniority arbitration. If anyone is hired by Republic before then, I would expect them to promptly hit the street after seniority integration.

If they really need pilots before integration is complete, I'd bet my paycheck on a LOA to bring back furloughed people early. No way a new hire would go before ~400 furloughed pilots. By the time a new hire made it through training, integration would be complete and they'd hit the street. That would be huge waste of the money, and if theres one thing RAH is good at its cutting the fat.

As far as this memo, it mentioned potential growth in 2010. That could be 10 months from now.

I have my CMEL and 295 hours total ans 25 multi. Im going to apply and if I get hired would they put me in the E-190 if I ask? I have enough prop time already so I don't want a turboprop and my instructors all said i learned very fast. And the CRJ/ERJ won't get me to a major as fast.

Why not? You have as much time as some of RAH's Captains.

I want to fly a 190. It's newer than the Airbus I'm currently flying.
