Default Republic Hiring Soon

I have heard through the grapevine that Republic is looking for pilot interview volunteers. So, they must be ramping up their hiring department for new off-the-street hiring soon.

Am I right? Can anyone confirm this? What would be the timeframe for new-hire classes?

How many furloughs are left, and are they all being recalled now?

Thanks in advance for any info.

Sweet. Can we please produce some more bottom feeder positions. Maybe you can buy another decent paying airline, put them out of business and replace them with low paying jobs again.

(Although Midwest only have themselves to blame. They gave up scope for pay, so greed tanked them almost highhandedly-That's the way I understand it)

Volunteer being the key word; no compensation in any way, shape, or form. You'll (likely) only get the real pom-pom toting pilots out there .. sadly they will hire more idiots like themselves.

You'd have to be pretty stupid and/or desperate be a new-hire at Republic right now. When they finish the seniority integration I would have a hard time believing you wouldn't be right back on the street after the furlough. I guess the only thing you'd have going is if they decide that all current furloughs have to wait for openings before they can return, if not be put at the bottom of the integrated list all together.

Really? Your first post and you have zero knowledge of the current ongoings at RAH? The Midwest pilots on the street, the Frontier Furloughs, and the Lynx closure? You are pumped about a possible hiring at RAH when they have pilots on furlough??? How about those working at RAH shine in and inform us you are pushing to get back all the previous pilots before such would occur???

First: Integration will take care of these issues.
Second: I thought F9 guys were being recalled

I heard they are hiring to replace the pilots when Mesa goes under. Seems they have the financing in place to take the 900's when the opportunity arises. Doug Parker hinted at this last Crew meeting.

Look, I do have more than "zero knowledge" about the ongoings at RJET. I am asking this question because I want to confirm what would seem to be strange to hire when there are so many people on furlough.

However, until an integration occurs (which could take a while), the only actual amount of furloughs that need to be recalled before hiring occurs is well under a 100 by now. (original RAH pilots furloughed before the aquisitions.)

Bottom line is, if Republic needs pilots before the integration, then they will need to hire. The furloughed Frontier, Midwest, and Lynx pilots could not just start working for RP, RW, or S5 until an integration. Although, they could apply as a new-hire like anyone else.

So, I'll ask the question again: What is the deal with needing to recruit internal pilot interview volunteers, if they aren't going to start interviewing pilots?
