I think this plays into the recall groups hand. Avg was 10-15 people at LEC meetings in the past. Judging by the turn out at the DFW event there is going to be a lot more people and a lot more proxies for Ryan and Frank to over come.

Heard a rumor they're already placing odds in Vega$ for a last minute cancellation. I heard 6-1 in favor of a cancellation.

Sounds like a chance to make a buck.

Each base is alloted funds for operation. Base meetings being one with there associated costs. Since the ORD base has not had a meeting in 9 months, where has that money gone to?

found this on another forum-------

First the ORD LEC Chairman has finally decided after 9 months to hold a base meeting. At this meeting and item on the agenda is the RECALL of the ORD CA Rep and F/O Rep.

Now you say you got what you wanted, whats your complaint?
Well lets see, every base meeting is held the airport conference room or nearby hotel with van service to said hotel for the pilots to shuttle back and forth from the meeting to get to work. Such as the Hilton at ORD within walking distance. But the ORD reps have decided to hold the meeting the same day as the family awareness at the same location. 22 miles away from the ORD airport.

First time I have ever seen this done. What it does is stack the cards in the ORD reps favor because the working stiffs are 22 miles away and if they are coming in early to report for work or getting off work they have to travel 22 miles to the meeting. Thats is a 32 dollar cab ride for those who do not live in Chicago. Must be nice for the ORD Reps, padding expenses but the rest of us dont have an expense account paid for by the membership.

This also reduces the chances of all commuters to show up at the meeting as it is so far away. For those who know commuting, know that this will be impossible.

So, once again the ORD LEC Reps have discriminated, alienated the majority of the pilots in ORD. The ORD Reps again have taken away from the pilots their rights under the rules and is not allowing all pilots to participate in the democratic process.

The union scheduled the meeting over Memorial weekend and 22 miles from the ORD airport. What a putz.

recall those two! You can proxy vote, I think I saw someone post the info how.

I don't see the big deal, I mean it is in line with how other LECs act. I mean we have a thief as a CA rep in NY. Claiming expenses on a expense report that you didn't incurred is called stealing not a accounting mistake. LEC 131 has held a meeting in a gate at LAX as they are getting on a flight. When was the last SJU LEC meeting? Lets no act like everything is great outside LEC 133.

Get out the pitch forks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just remember how good life is to the MEC chairman, and how corrupt years of that must become. It should come with a term limit, and the SOBs should COME FLY THE LINE.

Your nuts if you think years of working with management and not flying the line, while getting top pay, would not corrupt someone.
