Back in the day FL was GREAT, JA was a hoot and DH did an excellent on the job impersonation of Sgt. Frank Drebin.

Check your PM's.

He definitely has a right to his opinion, and I agree with it. RC has always helped me. He sat left seat during my initial checkride and was awesome and has always helped me as a chief. You can't get mad at a man for enforcing the rules you're supposed to follow. I believe that's the defense mechanism called "projection." Remember FOI?

Is last seasons batchelor your new C.P?

That is what these boards are for. I like both of those guys, and know both very well. Ergo my comment.

Just because you may not like one or both does not mean that they are not qualified for the position. RC is a pilot advocate, the difference is he does not run around telling everyone he is. Watch his actions.

If you do not like em, provide the input.

BTW, yes, I have been gone a long time.

They were both great in the training department. Then they went to the CPO and suddenly turned into major jerks. RC stalks FOs (not captains) in the crew lounge and at the elevator and harasses them about having minor uniform issues (even though they're not in view of passengers). RC has issued several pilots suspensions over occurrences, and several have actually gotten last chance letters. That never used to happen, even when SH pushed them to do it, they refused. They have both become management tools. Both he and KS have been harassing pilots for fatigue calls lately too. KS had no people skills, he yells at everyone and it's intimidating. He stomps around the crew lounge barking at people. Oddly, FM is the best CP we have now, much more like FL was.

As I said, if you haven't been here lately, you don't know what you're talking about. They changed. It's even not what they do, it's their method. They are making the pilot group miserable and are off on a power trip.

I am curious, have you ever asked them why? I would and the answers always seemed surprising.

I'm really not the one to get involved. I just do my job and go home. I don't care why, I just know what I see. This place is changing. It's becoming more like SkyWest. Everything is carrot and stick. It never used to be that way.

This is 100% correct. I wish I could record calls on my cell phone, because KS has tried to change my duty to make me legal for a flight that wasn't even close. You are also correct, he tried to intimidate you into accepting a flight when you are calling in fatigued. RC just runs around and harasses f/o, but he won't say anything to those senior capts that run around w/ velcro black shoes, shirts that don't fit, or no hat. He's just playing the popularity contest with the senior guys.

You can record conversations on your phone. I-phone even has a free app.

Be careful of the legal ramifications when doing this. I believe you have to inform the other party they are being recorded in most states, but I'm too lazy to look it up.

FWIW RC chastised me about the hat when I was a Captain, not an FO. Good guy to fly with though.
