AFAIC, it was factual.

From my experience, the overwhelming majority of F/O's I fly with either are disinterested in ALPA or have a negative opinion of our union and that is a fact. It is absolutely fact what the union attempted to do those senior......thankfully, it didn't fly with the arbitrator who judged their actions to be totally without merit.

I don't see much possibility of the current crop suddenly becoming interested in the future for Eagle pilots and those the union attempted to push in front of a bus certainly shouldn't be counted on in the future, so perhaps we just see things differently.

Just from observation of crewroom talk, I'd confidently estimate 2/3 of the pilot group to have little faith in ALPA at Eagle, but you're free to believe what you wish..................I wish I could come to another conclusion.

How is that different from the Captains? Here's another fun fact; all ALPA union volunteer work is carried by only 4% of the membership. The other 96% sit back and whine about those doing the work. This isn't only at the Beagle. It's pretty universal across all the airlines. Although I don't have the same sources, I suspect similar numbers with our sister unions at SWAPA and APA.

As for the actions of the present MEC regarding their attempts to toss the senior 20% of the membership under a bus so they could lift their wallets, agreed...but we should recognize these were the actions of a few even though popularly supported.

If 2/3's of the membership have little faith in Eagle ALPA, then what are they willing to do about it?....besides ***** and moan that is.

This is my observation about your comments - hearsay "evidence."

Who said it is different for captains ?

It's a nice clean statement to say 4% do the work and the rest simply "whine", but that's not true. What is true is that if one looks at the voting as a litmus, the overwhelming percentage of pilots apparently don't care and that's one reson that allows a few key players of that 4% to do the bus tossing.

My comments weren't about solutions, but current reality. Apparently others as evidenced here refuse to accept this reality and thus the cycle continues.

It's my observation you have chosen to remain in your comfort zone and that's your choice. The most confortable way to deal with a problem is refusing to acknowledge its existance, but that almost always leads nowhere.

Thus nowhere is were we are................and where we seem to be going.
