I personally know a vol-F with about 10 years seniority at least that can't wait to come back. Was at NWA and took a vol-F several years ago for personal reasons. I don't see DAL alone causing much movement in the regionals. But it's better than DAL furloughing, that's for sure!

The latest AE/training bid released this week had over 300 vacancies due to increased flying. This includes displacements off the DC9. Another bid will be out for August and will start really taking into account next year's flying. Increased vacancies off that should translate into numbers greater than 300 for hiring. Whatever the number, it sure is a step in the right direction.
The global markets could prove a mess though. |

From other posts: Compass is the 1st 20 per month, up to a max of 20?% in a rolling 12 mos period. Then, Mesaba is 9 per class, then off the street. The furlough bypass guys have until 2014 to return, which I'm sure most of them will, by that date. DAL, JetBlue, AirTran, Allegient, Virgin America, Atlas, Southern, ATI, Compass, Eagle, Colgan, Great Lakes, + other domestic and a TON of foreign airlines are hiring. cliff LFW |
