Ok, Ok . you never know. But realistically, what do you think would've been the outcome? Would anything be different today?

You know if the vote would have been in favor of the flow and I lost, I'd have lived with it. But that's not what happened. Mainline management and DALPA were the ones that decided whether or not we had a flow. Mesaba management got to decide the amount of flows. And I think our MEC had some input on the language but I don't know how much.

At about 400 on the list, I may move up 150 spots due to flow. I may actually get up to the mid point on the seniority list in base in the 900. Because I don't want to flow and will have over 8 years with Mesaba by the time Delta MAY furlough again, I can get knocked down from my base and maybe even the equipment because the furloughs will come back to those 150 spots.

It certainly could be said that I accelerated my move up the list with the flow but I am moving up without it.

When looking at a possible reduction of pay and schedule I would have really liked some input. I want input on all parts of my contract. That is why I feel that this flow was imposed on me.

Now I am really glad and hopeful for the guys who want to flow. But I don't want to be punished for not going to mainline.

True that you could be knocked back as far as the flows above you go. But think of this, without the flow how many of those people would ever have bothered to leave Mesaba allowing you to move up at all? Many may well have sat on their arse too lazy to go through the trouble to inerview elsewhere and you would sit jet reserve for years here.

Just wondering how "DALPA" is involved at all. The flow was negotiated years before Delta merged with NWA.

None of the Delta WO's have a flow. This whole flow business is a child of the NWA MEC.

Absolutely true.
Flow was between NWA and NWA ALPA. However DALPA took ownership by allowing the flow to continue plus making changes to it. Because NWA ALPA/NWA doesn't exist anymore, I said "DALPA".

Nothing derogatory intended other than it was imposed on me. It was an NWA thing. But we were owned by NWA when this happened. So was Compass. Pinnacle wasn't owned thus no flow even though they thought they were going to get one.

As to they why's or why not's of flow at Comair or ASA, I have no idea. I have no idea why it came up for us.
