We don't have pilot bases in TYS or FWA either. Doubt we'll open any at those two any time soon, but I bet we often have MX positions open up there.

True, but that's a much better argument than ZOMG! POSTING FOR MX POSITIONS!!!111

Just further proof that TA1 should have never been sent for a pilot vote.

The MEC didn't do the pilot group any favors with that move. They should have voted it down at the MEC level and would have now already been released.

A year wasted in my opinion.

[quote=1forflying;832342] For those of you that don't know the match for 1-5 years of service is only 25% of the first 5% that you contribute. I contributed the 5% to get the match last year and that only equated to $320 that the company had to dish up toward my 401K.

quote]

A match of 1.25% for years 1-5 has always been pathetic, especially when the top brass is raking in millions in bonuses. When Phil and others retire, they will be sipping endless margaritas in Tahiti while you will be wondering where your next meal will come from.

It's really hard to believe that management is kicking and screaming about paying only average wages and medical/retirement benefits.

wasnt the nmb supposed to meet today to discuss how long it will be before we talk with the company again?

This will be covered on the call tonight. The NMB met yesterday and also meet thurs as far as I know. Our case should be reviewed at one of the meetings. I haven't heard a peep so you guys aren't missing any info. MEM guys can expect a detailed email of where we are and where we are going and where the reps stand on the issues. It's an easier process after the company has made a couple actual proposals.

Jetrecruiter 06-30-2010 03:58 PM

Now what....!!

NMB has put us on ice, now what? Do we continue on the same path we have been or its now time to take matters into our own hands..... WE NEED A CONTRACT! The pilots now have to take another 5yrs of beating from this draconian management!!! 9E sucks big time!

CanyonBlue 06-30-2010 04:24 PM

Back on ice?

Ouch!

Blueskies21 06-30-2010 06:46 PM

Just make sure to fly REALLY safe while you wait.

TSioux55 06-30-2010 07:14 PM

Back on ice...total joke. My 9E give a **** meter is officially at ZERO!

All you people who are ranting and raving on this board and the company board, are the same people you see taxiing fast, rushing to get to your next flight, rushing things to block out on time, not using the APU, not following the FOM, not writing things up at outstations (aka it happened on the way..we've all done it). Frankly, its all unsafe and unprofessional.

People continue to fly sick and fatigued (this will bite you..eventually)

Until this pilot group grows a pair (management has everyone running scared, pilot group is almost as bad as the FA's), what incentive does the Company have to negotiate? ZIP ZERO! You have to make them want to negotiate. We are our own worst enemy. Me monster's picking up open time at 200% - let them JA and EXT for it.

NO NUTS NO GLORY! Until we figure that out, dragging of the feet will continue.

As sad as it is you have a point. The amount of our pilots picking up opentime at 200% and braging about how they have 100 plus hours of credit is sickening. We will never get a TA with our current operations. We mights as well cuddle up with uncle Phil and his crooks and enjoy the extra credit hours. We don't write up ****! its always someone else's concern when we pull up to the gate. We are not a united pilot group, so why the hell do we expect the company to give us anything. They are getting what they want and that is to "divide and rule".

Kellwolf 07-01-2010 09:24 AM

Two weeks ago I was beat down on reserve. This week? I've sat at home 3 1/2 days in a row. Apparently, the draconian sick policy/200% open time combo works. Now that the company knows this, any return to the former sick policy is pretty much shot. The guys picking up open time at 200% have zero room to complain about not having a contract.

Would I like more money? Sure, we all would. BUT, I'd rather have better QoL in legal terms more.
