well if 9E pilots werent such fools and have just been letting this happen for years it would be over right now. Im sure tmrw when we hear we are being put on ice for 6 months..flights will still leave ontime and nothing will happen. This is why 9E sucks.
This joke of a company actually wanted concessions....freakin CONCESSIONS from us. Gimme a break!! I'm about to give up all hope. Our union stinks, and our pilot group doesn't even have the backbone of a jellyfish!!! |

What a joke. I can't believe what I just read. I'm not very optimistic about the nmb but I guess we will have to wait and see what they say. Hopefully they will see that mgmt is full of $.it.
Oh and remember not to call in sick we can't have anymore unplanned absences. Speaking of that, I noticed on the dashboard today we had around 22 flights cancel. One of the flights that cancelled reason was because of the fo and the notes said he was legal to go but spent to much time arguing.... What a bunch if bs... |
I think at this point it would be very convenient if Pinnacle and TSA were released at the same time. I am quite sure the NMB would never let that happen, but it seems like that would bolster our position even more. Best of luck to the Pinnacle guys going forward.
|
Our mgmt team is very agile and creative when it comes to financial decisions. Gotta say they're pretty good there (yes, I know about the ARS fiasco, but they maneuvered through it pretty well all things considered). BUT they are atrocious in managing their people...I'm afraid they're gonna end up burning it down from the inside out. The flames are already there and this just seemed to toss a little diesel on it. Why further alienate your pilot group?! They had to know there was no way we'd sign double digit % concessions. CLEARLY a stall tactic. They were too afraid we might sign something a little craptastic, so they swung for the fences! and in the process furthur alienated an angry workforce.

I'd bet spirits MEC isn't full of a bunch of management loving reps who simply want a big signing bonus, small raise and continuation of the status quo for the 10+ year guys. Your reps in ATL, former MEM, and former MSP Captain rep all just wanted a deal to be done so they put TA 1 on the table for us to shoot down. Had they decided to have a spine and send the negotiators back to the table we would have been released by now. You all need to pay attention to who gets elected into these positions. MSP CA rep is up for election, you all (LEC 129) should be getting a ballot soon, make sure you find out who stands for what and who will push for us to get what we deserve! |
edited to remove apparently unfounded rumor.
Thanks higney85 |

Wow, management was using the same tactics back in '04 with their negotiations. Nice to see nothing has changed. I left in '07 and was warned we were nearly there with a contract and I'd regret my decision. I would be walking away from a huge retro check and some really nice contract changes. To answer the obvious question, I have no regrets! |

So the lifers with DUIs can get their 401-k's fattened up at the expense of junior FOs who will not be able to pay for medical care?
That's your proposal, Doug? I liked you better when you were still charlie-foxing the maintenance operation. I wish I still worked there so I could offer you a lick of my all-day sucker. |
Just wait for the retort. How was this ever allowed to be an "URGENT" crewtrac message from the same folks that brought the sick call policy last week? They are uniting the group against them. Their tactics are beyond me.

Management was upset because the UNION gave them a "last, best and final offer?" Yeah, pot meet kettle. 2006 called to remind you that's happened before from the other side of the table.... |

July is the month the pilot group might get something done around here.
With lines averaging 93 hours, there isn't much room for guys to be picking open time up for 200%. Oh yeah. Special thanks to the line holder that picked up the trip I had been JA'd or EXT'd for, at least I would have gotten a comp day and 150%. ME ME ME ME ME ME ME |

Is this the part where I say "You are the union"? The company's propaganda is so far in left field I'm sure legal put the fist to their own forehead when it came out. Your MEC works for YOU. There is absolutely NO reason for this to get drug out on our account- your officers work for free and are at the same pay scale as the next guy.... That being said there is no way the MEC could agree to CONCESSIONS from TA1. Is that what you want? I know my phone has been on fire with guys telling me where they stand and I am right there with them. Maybe you feel differently- have you contacted your rep?
Meanwhile, I keep getting a pop-up on our union website that Air Wisconsin gets 4% of their salary regardless if they contribute or not and they have a smaller pilot group (especially now that Colgan has joined our ranks). What are we doing to help the industry? I was flying with a senior pilot (15 years at most regionals is senior) and he was bragging to me that while our negotiators were on the phone arguing about vacation slide to one of or senior management (who is involved directly in our negotiations, and happenned to be on speaker phone) , that it wasn't needed to get us to vote in a new TA. All we needed was a few small tokens and it would pass, undermining our negotiators and the pilot group as well. |
This is the same Sh** that they have played over and over i was there from 06 through 09. Nothing changes STFD guys don't give in untill you get want you want. Also if any of you MSP captains remeber who i am i need a referance for a job and the Asst base manager is being him self. Wiggns if you are on here pm me if you would be willing to do something like that or any other captain that was or still is MSP based.

FWIW from an evil spawn of satan senior guy, that CA and you are both sorely mistaken if you think our senior guys will give up an additional 4-6 weeks off a year that we will now not be getting with a well placed slide or buffer days...if that is indeed the case...
