Default Re-Apply at Pinnacle?

Hi. I recently interviewed with Pinnacle. I made it through my written test and my sim eval, but I was disqualified because I didn't have a passport. It was on the list of things to bring to the interview, but I didn't think it applied to me for whatever reason. For whatever reason I was thinking it was for non-U.S. citizens. Anyway, they told me that they really wanted to interview me, and that they wanted me to re-apply in six months. I grew up in MN and would love the chance to stay here. Not only is it what I know, but I can save a lot of money doing so. I am curious if anyone has gotten hired the second time around at Pinnacle or at any other airline. How serious are they when they ask you to re-apply? What are someone's chances the second time around? Thanks for your help in advance!

If they asked you to re-apply, then they probably mean it. (As opposed to sending out the "Thank you for considering us, however at this time we are unable to accomodate any other requests for employment with Pinnacle. We wish you luck in your job search and future endevours" letter).

There are plenty of people that get hired the second time around (at numerous companies, not just PCL). That said, when you interview the second time around, they are going to know that you didn't make it the first time (because you check that little box that says have you applied for any positions in the past).

So it's VERY important that you are at the top of your game and cross all your T's and dot your I's for the second go around.

Don't feel too bad about the first round- it sucks, but happens more than you think. Take it as a learning experience and don't do it again. If you ever have any doubt about an application or requirements or what you need to bring to an interview, don't hesitate to call and ask! HR won't penalize you for a question here or there (of course if you call 24/7 they might... but not for 1 or 2 calls).

You'd be amazed with how many people get disqualified during an interview for paperwork problems or not being prepared for the interview (IE didn't bring logbooks or fill out application, or something). At ACA not having your stuff or filling out the application correctly was an immediate "thanks but no thanks" letter.

I have a locking briefcase, and I bring EVERYTHING whether I think I need it or not. All documents, transcripts, diplomas, military paperwork, awards, logbooks, passport, licenses, birth certificates, etc, etc, etc. Just don't lose the briefcase...

I know 3 people @ pinnacle who were hired on thier 2nd interview with them. When I interviewed, there were several (5-6 out of 20) on thier 2nd.
I will probably take another shot too.

...Fax, then if that doesn't work...snail mail...

Either way, give them a 'Heads Up' using the HR number on the website, just to let them know that you sent it...
