SkyWest SBA-SLC ends Sept 2010

I just read that Delta is cancelling this route. What's the impact to the SBA base for SkyWest? (my airline gig started there)
I always though that flight seemed to regularly be full.

The flight is full all the time. Can't explain except for the elsewhere-posted "robbing the hub" theory.
This isn't the first time rumors of closures have circulated and hoping it won't be the last. The Brasilia flying isn't changed much but most of what the jet does there is SLC right now. During the summer the DEN flights are on the 700 which is unlikely to be flown by SBA crews 'cuz of the FA staffing issue.
With recent history as precedence we know that they only need a (weak) excuse to justify a base closure. (SAN, MRY, SMF).

No offense but did this really warrant a post...if pilots came on here and started threads every time an airline stopped a particular route this board would be flooded...how many routes has Delta closed at Mesaba...and I'm sure there will be more...

APC wouldn't exist if posts needed to be "important."
The relevant piece of this thread was the potential of another domicile closure as a result of the cancelled route. Certainly there have been less "warranted" threads than that, no?

“In addition to Aspen, Delta is getting rid of all seasonal ski flights out of Salt Lake,” Tomcich said.
