Wound to tight? The name of this forum is "Airline Pilots Central", to become a member I assumed some knowledge of the industry was required. There is a massive divide between the mainline pilots and regional pilots regarding scope and jobs, I have been out of work for a year thanks to the outsourcing of my job to express carriers. I appreciate and respect anyone that wants to thank the pilots that got them where they wanted to go safely, but on "Airline Pilots Central", I expect them to know who's flying them.
You said: "If it was an RJ, it probably wasn't a Delta crew." If you are such an "expert", then why did you say it "probably wasn't a Delta crew"....We know it wasn't... He was saying thank you...You are simply confirming what most of us already know.... |
APC... where even a "Thank you" thread turns into a flame war in less than 1 page. Wound up tight? You bet! APC's registered members represent some of the TIGHTEST wound people on the internet. Even political message boards don't get this heated.

Just stating the obvious. The crew he is thanking works for a company not named "regional Delta." It would be nice if the younger class in the world actually lifted a finger (or their ticket) to get it right...there you go, now I'm wound up;)
(The preceding paragraph was made entirely in satire. Again, only at APC would I need to add such a disclaimer). |

Yeah those young whipper snappers. I mean, even though the aircraft are painted Delta Colors, their Tickets say Delta Airlines, they're welcomed aboard "Delta Flight 1337" and earn Delta Sky miles, they can't even read the minuscule "Operated by Regional XYZ." What is this generation coming too? I bet all the older people can look at an RJ and tell you EXACTLY which regional carrier it is operated by! Curse those kids and their hip hop music! Now I'm going to bed, it's 8:30! Keep it down. (The preceding paragraph was made entirely in satire. Again, only at APC would I need to add such a disclaimer). |
Oh no! Sorry guys, I didn't mean to start a flame. You are right, it was a Delta-painted, operated by Skywest aircraft. When I wrote this I was so beyond tired, that finding my ticket (or remembering the regional operator) was impossible. I had been up since very early!
Again, sorry. And thanks again to the Skywest crew operating the CRJ200. Oh! And today they did a great job again. I didn't catch the name of the female CO and the male FO. But the FA was surely a lovely lady. :) |

Sure there is. That is, if you are 4 feet tall!
It's a very quiet aircraft, I'll give ya that. :) |
