I can't remember being in an airport that shows FOX news on the airport channel. Most of the airports I've sat in have CNN.
Unless you mean you were watching on your laptop at an airport? |
I saw the video, and it seemed reasonably "fair and balanced" to me. Sure, it has some big issues, but seemed fine overall considering the audience (Joe Sixpack).

CNN = communist news network
just think of how many congressmen and senators saw this crap?:mad: can't wait for the new rules on this one:mad::mad: f*ing journalists, i'll give them something to expose. |
Last I checked, it's an anomaly being able to go from c-172 to a major. You gotta pay your dues, whether it be military or regional, to get to a major. Just as it's rare for these so called "journalists" to go from street reporter in Moline (what do you think they get paid) to anchor on CNN. I agree with sniper, this is a waste of breaking newsworthy journalism.

I've been very impressed with Delta's training program. I can't speak for other regionals, but I have to say that Skywest's training was much more in depth and challenging than Delta's. That's just my experience. Also, I think Skywest's very good safety record is a result of this quality training.

Having only gone through 2 companys (Eagle and RAH--both CHQ and RW) training programs, I would say that they all were about the same. Now a mainline carrier might require a CAT III landing or some additional manuver like that but the sim training is still judged to the same +5-0 knots, +-100 feet on altitude or any other PTS standards. Also since every airline is run by bean counters, they arent going to allow for extra training that may produce more real world scenarios than the same old basic training profiles we have all been doing for years. To bad no one mentioned in that article that the airline will gladly only meet the minimums and refuse to pay the extra money to bring the training or any other aspect of the company up above the minimum.
