Unless you mean you were watching on your laptop at an airport?

Nope, on the TV at an FBO.

I saw the video, and it seemed reasonably "fair and balanced" to me. Sure, it has some big issues, but seemed fine overall considering the audience (Joe Sixpack).

Yellow makes me sad..........Jack-wagons!

I've been told by multiple "experts" that's why they're retrofitting airliners with winglets. It's to reduce turbulence.

I award you zero points, and may god have mercy on your soul.

Last I checked, it's an anomaly being able to go from c-172 to a major. You gotta pay your dues, whether it be military or regional, to get to a major. Just as it's rare for these so called "journalists" to go from street reporter in Moline (what do you think they get paid) to anchor on CNN. I agree with sniper, this is a waste of breaking newsworthy journalism.

I've been very impressed with Delta's training program. I can't speak for other regionals, but I have to say that Skywest's training was much more in depth and challenging than Delta's. That's just my experience. Also, I think Skywest's very good safety record is a result of this quality training.

Now a mainline carrier might require a CAT III landing or some additional manuver like that but the sim training is still judged to the same +5-0 knots, +-100 feet on altitude or any other PTS standards. Also since every airline is run by bean counters, they arent going to allow for extra training that may produce more real world scenarios than the same old basic training profiles we have all been doing for years. To bad no one mentioned in that article that the airline will gladly only meet the minimums and refuse to pay the extra money to bring the training or any other aspect of the company up above the minimum.

Your experience is different from mine. I've been though three regional airline training programs and the quality from each was vastly different. For instance at one company the ground school instructors were pilots with zero jet time, a phrase commonly heard was, "you'll learn it online." At another company the ground school instructors were line pilots who could actually relate real-world experience. The first company said "know your flows on this date," while the second company made time in the training program to learn flows and go through QRH situations. You get the idea...

That's why you get all your news from Dick Cheney's web page.
