Default tbone aviation headsets? (in CRJ aircraft)

I heard they don't work as well in RJs. I'm trying to figure out if they work well specifically in CRJs.

I've seen that, and that's exactly why I'm asking. They didn't mention specifically which airplanes they work well on, or which ones they don't as well. I was just wondering if anyone actually have used them on CRJs, and how well they work.

CRJ's do not have "hot" intercoms

Does this not apply to the CRJ?

Continuous (“hot mike”) conversation is provided in the I/C position for the intercom systems. A radiotransmit (R/T) and intercom (I/C) switch is also provided on each pilot control wheel.
NOTE
Hot mic communications can be selected by any one of the following switches:
  • RT/IC switch on any audio control panel
  • INT/SVC transmit select switch on any audio control panel with PTT
    pushed
  • IC/OFF/RT switch on any audio control panel.
As far as RJ's, ERJ's have hot mics, but have the ability to turn it off on the yoke.

As do most (all?) Boeings, incidentally. I think Airbus is the same as well.

Based on that I would not recommend it unless you want to fly with the hot mic off and having to flip the switch everytime you want to talk to anyone. It sounds like the Tbone was designed for aircraft without a hot mic or rather aircraft where you don't use an intercom to talk to the other pilot. In the CRJ the other pilot would be able to hear all the background noise whenever the hot mic switch was on. Very very annoying.
