I am looking to switch from my trusty DCs also. Does anyone use their headsets on commutes in the back to block out kid noise etc. Is the mike removable on any of these models? Do you use them for music/movies on a commute as well?

Nope, I use the Shure E4C headphones for anything but actually flying the plane. Comfy, incredible sound quality and they come with a case large enough to slide an iPod nano in but also fits in my pocket.. I call it my jumpseat savior!

170.00 bucks on Amazon!!! Dang. Give me 10 years in this industry and I can buy headphones like that.
