Default Express Jet Memory Items and Limits

Would any of you be willing to share your flash cards for memory items and limits. I'm in the Jan 3 class and I would like to get started on the rote items.

I'm sure there are others here that could also benefit from them. If could PM me, I will send you my email address.

Thanks in advance.

Ooooorrr...you can get the current list of memory items and limitations (should be handed out in the first week) and make your OWN flashcards like everyone else. Cmon man, its a time honored tradition! Beers around the hotel pool and flashcards!

Memory items and limitations change over time, you should wait for the first day of class, otherwise you could be memorizing the wrong thing.

I believe the gods in the biodome/headshed had a change of stance compared to when you and I got hired.

They stopped providing the newhire with the list of limitations/memory items because in their mind, all it did was foster rote memorization with no practical application of what they mean, nor where to find them when needed.

Don't shoot the messenger.

Whoa..... Slow down there cowboy. We all admire hard work but training is not a race. If you don't think you can handle the training program and it's time constraints, well............

Memory items need to be understood before they are committed to memory. Otherwise you won't know when to use them. You'll see.

Rote memorization checklist jockey's only correlate to someone who can fly the absolute hell out of an ILS, but check out when you actually have to earn your money....Put in the work now to make it easier later.

Making your own flash cards is a huge part of the learning process. By writing or typing them out, a lot of the information goes into your memory. It's best to make your own, it will help you.

busting on someone for trying to get started.....

some people initially memorize at a slower pace.
This does NOT make them less qualified candidates or pilots.
Especially if the guy has any previous turbine time..... many of the memory items really start to look the same.

Oxygen Mask and Smoke Goggles.... Don and 100% (or emergency)
Crew Communications ....................Establish

there's half of the list

hazing is NOT CRM

I agree with your points. But are you you guys REALLY trying to say that if you could have gotten your hands on a gouge sheet before going to airline training, you would have turned it down? I doubt it
