AWAC just started their AQP this past summer/fall.
AQP, unlike traditional CQ, is more line oriented as people have already pointed out. In a nutshell, AQP affords the evaluator to be more subjective with their grading than do more traditional events. AQP, especially the LOE, but not to exclude the MV, focuses HEAVILY on CRM. In AQP you could perform a task or maneuver flawlessly, but if CRM was non-existant, you could theoretically fail the event. On a side note: I am eating a Nacho flavored Slim Jim and this thing is nasty....but I can't stop eating it. |
G7 we start it in April

AQP Training - Who's doing it?
XJT has it on ERJ side and I think the CRJ side as well. It's a far better way to train.

Pinnacle still trains like it's 1987

PSA does not have AQP. Its actually the opposite here. The only training we get here is for initial and upgrade. We don't even have manuals anymore For recurrent you just show up for a PC. No warm up sim or anything. Pass and your good to go for another 6 months. Fail and that's the first step in the firing process.

Can someone please update the current training/recurrent style at RAH and AE? Thanks.

TSA is doing it full-time now. Haven't been through it myself yet, but I've heard good things.

Comair's AQP program ended last September when we got approval to switch to the newer, cheaper NMT Program*.
