We used to think Mesa was bad....Republic is now one of the lowest paid airlines per fleet, the union is a HUGE joke now who can't even get a senority list, and now the airline is canceling lots of flight due to lack of crew. I was told that they tried to get 26 for a new hire class but only got 15 to take the job. Hold on thought, Bedford finally figured out that he is getting his ass handed to him so he is moving 8 airplane from Frontier back to us here at Delta. What a joke!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The pay scales ARE pathetic and based on a contract signed in 2003. Albeit painfully slow, negotiations for the new contract are back in full swing. Lowest paid will end when that is complete.

As far as the seniority list integration, your either extremely ignorant or just wanted to post something to start a fight. IBT is a joke but nobody can force the arbitrator to render a decision. Everyone is supremely frustrated with no result being put forth.

It's all well and good for the high and mighty at Delta to complain about the pay the a contract carrier, but they helped create the current situation when, in the early 1990s, they wanted nothing to do with smaller jets and kept conceding scope in exchange for short term contractual gains that only a few would ever actually see.

This is the result and it won't change until the pilots at the majors can take the scope back.

I'm tired of hearing how we created the problem.

Pretty sad that out of 1437 furloughed UAL pilots that they couldn't find 26 furloughes to take the "jet for job" offer even at second year pay :eek:. That is how poor the prospect of moving backwards is. How do I know? The offer for the jobs went below me and I am pretty low on the seniority list.
