Default Expressjet and recent Multi experience

Hows XJT about recent multi experience? I'm interviewing there on the 28th, and plan on getting about 30 hours between now and then... is that anywhere near enough to be competetive? I don't have any other multi time in the last 6 months.

You will be fine, I have heard of guys with practically no multi in the past 6 months, just know the AIRPLANE inside and out, and you will be fine. I just got hired and have class the 2nd of october, I have been trying to get onto Expressjet for a long time, fortunately I was at Colgan for the past 10 months so I was flying 80-90 of 121 multi-turbine in a SAAB so I was pretty comfortable but there was others with little multi-time in the past 6 months that got hired so just study up. If you have nay questions at all shoot me an email I would love to help, good luck! What is your background and what are your times?

Firstly, all the best of luck for your interview... All the staff there in Houston are super-friendly and it makes it easy to relax (kind of).

I interviewed on the 14th of August and was hired, class date is September 11. Currently busily studying the flows and systems folder for class.

From speaking to some of the other guys, most of them had at least 800 hours with at least 120-150 multi. I on the other hand had 700 total time with 110 multi and haven't flown a multi since the first few days of January. I thought my lack of ANY multi-engine time in the past 6 months would render me ineligible but apparently not. I think a good deal of the interview process is the manner in which you answer their questions and your general demeanour during the interview process... If you interview well you will have a good shot at getting hired, provided you at least meet the 600/100 mins.

Once again, good luck and contact me via PM if you want any more info.

Connaz

Was a new hire at PNCL.... but had a better gig (atleast in my situation) pop up at XJT.

Anyway... thanks for the advice Aussie and SAAB! Maybe we'll meet in Houston sometime!
