Default ATL ASA Crew Bag Room Theft

Have times really gotten that bad when our own are stealing from you and I? I wanted to get a feel for how bad other crew bag staging rooms have gotten or if it is just Atlanta. As of the past few years, in Atlanta we have been victim of a significant amount of theft. Someone has been stealing jackets, flight cases, and whole suitcases. As pilots we need somewhere to store things due to the dynamics of the job.

Has anyone had anything stolen in Atlanta? I want to build a list for the Police department to get them involved. Something has to change and I would love to catch who is doing this. Cameras won't change a thing. These thieves need to be set up.

It will eventually catch up with them. It always does.

It's most likely a ramper. It was in Chicago.

Good point. Would be nice to get more agencies involved. Of course the only thing that will change is that crew members won't be able to bring liquids into the bag room. Unless they are in uniform

Had a hat stolen and my head set was taken out of my bag.

I highly doubt it was a pilot, most likely a ramper somehow or maybe even a flight attendant. At least I would hope it was not a pilot.

It started happening at ORD and they posted warnings all over the crew room. I never left my personal belongings in the crew room after that and never will again.

My buddy at Comair had his whole flight kit stolen out of the crew room. Passport, headset...everything. Had to be taken off the Canadian trips until he got a new passport. Never found the sorry sap who took it.
