As with everything in this industry, I'll believe it when they hand me one. Would be nice to get rid of all those heavy manuals though.

So with the new fangled technology, the plate is off to the side? No way to put it on the chart holder on the yoke?

I don't think I've ever put a jepp on the CRJ's yoke... too bulky... easier to use the side clip...

Captains and FO's will be issued an Ipad every 3 years. No more revisions, manuals, or anything else that is paper that we gotta take around. He also said that when you check in your Ipad will automatically update new memos and the sort. Pretty cool.

Your information is correct, that's my understanding as well.

Just a tip to the wise: better make sure you update them before each flight. Zero tolerance. Pilots who don't take the time to update your iPad's within seconds of the update coming out should fail.....FAIL.... F-A-I-L.....F-A-I-L.....F-A-I-L.....F-A-I-L .....F-A-I-L.....

Something seems wrong with pulling a rollaboard along without 150 pounds of books in a flight bag attached to it. Also, where will I keep my required flashlight? Maybe they will give us man purses, and I could keep it there. Oh, to dream...
