SkyWest warns of 1Q loss, 1st in 23 yrs
|
time to start shorting their stock...
|
You really can't acquire something to the size and shape that Xjt was in and assume rosy conditions immediately afterwards....perhaps a 1q loss, perhaps more following, but the overall dynamic of the company has been changed for the better and I for one applaud it and welcome perhaps a change in the industry.
|
That's due to heavy losses in the first class snack department.

What change are you eluding to? |
Had this good news been announced before ?
.... "A few weeks ago, SkyWest received a new contract that will increase the number of block hours it flies for United and Continental by more than 20 percent, triggering a need for more employees..." If it had been, I missed it and sorry for the repeating the obvious |
Kraupp said ExpressJet was hurt worst by the storms, which shut down operations in Houston, Cleveland and Newark. Next was ASA, which flies into Atlanta and Dulles. Least affected was SkyWest Airlines, whose weather troubles were centered at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport. One out of 88 quarters isn't that bad. Skywest is still by far the best regional out there. |
The weather delays/cancelations and crew shortages sure haven't helped since January.

Doesn't matter. It's all Skywest Inc.
I'd much rather work for a non-union company. I was with Skywest and loved it. Now that i'm with CAL, I have an even larger appreciation for how much better it is to work for a non-union carrier. |
