Default Eagle going to furlough?

Hey, not sure if this is just a rumor but I've heard it from 2 different sources that eagle has stopped all future new hire classes and may furlough some pilots here in the next 10 days.

Any truth to this???? I sure hope not, I've had a lot of friends and co-workers go there recently.

With staffing severely short, I doubt it.

"Kill the rumor, call your union rep."

Besides, I am pretty sure that AE/AMR needs to comply with the WARN letters/act before furloughing pilots.

Nobody has to comply by sending letters...but if they don't give you the statutory warning then they have to pay you for some period beyond your furlough date.

I just interviewed with them on April 27th and have a few friends with interviews scheduled for May. I hope this rumor isn't true because I got the offer and I'm seriously considering it.

I don't know anything about Eagle, but most airlines hire right up to the day they start sending furlough notices.

Well If what U are hearing is true, the we will alknow in the next 10-15 days.......

There was another rumour that we heard here on the forum was that Eagle is abt to reduce minimuns & announcement is coming soon.....

Strange, but the rumours are points to 2 completely opposite directions....

So, next couple of weeks we will know, which way the direction of movement is......

I guess that's why they are rumours........
