Training pay? Do you get the 70 HR guarantee?

Airline Pilot Central - Republic | Major-National-LCC

Says here only 75 hour guarantee, nothing about 70 hours.

Training pay is 400.00/week while in training. No insurance payments or deductions. You will find that once you get out of training, and insurance and union dues start coming out, that you will be getting a pay cut.

Welcome!

A friend finished IOE in the first part of June. He's flying a line now, and didn't have to sit reserves. He got a 15 day off line this month and next. He is bidding 39 out of around 60 in LGA. I wonder if waiting for RAH to get another training class (not until August) will make all that change by the time I get off IOE.

Is anyone getting based in CMH out of the recent classes?
I assume this is a smaller base with longer reserve, however, I would be home based and wouldn't mind.

Thanks

In order for upgrades there either has to be growth or the Captains must leave. With presumably all the Frontier Capts staying put plus several hundred or more RAH Capts that leaves only the bottom several hundred RAH slots. There will be movement but those at the bottom of our list, including slumav, won't be switching seats for at least several more years time and a new hire won't be upgrading for many more after that.

2-3 years barring bankruptcy buddy. Just watch. When it moves it's going to move quick. There are people saying less than that on the line. I still think 2013 is when I'll be in class for it. Duty rules, mainline retirements alone. Plus there are a bunch of senior folk here that are going to leave. (hell even a few who are going to retire) Not saying 12 months. But by now in 2013 I'll be high mins. (unless someone like CH11 or a fire sale happens, in which case I'm out the door anyway) Unless they live in CMH or SDF, the CHQ guys will all be gone here soon. IND will close soon.

With Frontier crossing the 51% mark, doesn't that mean they won't be on your seniority list? Thus, you don't have to worry about the Frontier lifers when it comes to upgrading. Or, because you already have the list, you guys are all together now?

Do not go to RAH, and think you will upgrade in 3 years. This would require at least 30 pilots to leave every month. BTW, on the Republic side most senoir guys I know will hangout. What did the last 170 bid go to? 2004?RAH is a good place to get your foot in the door, but dont stay too long. Movement is mostly fo's leaving, not captains! Good Luck....

Last 170 bid went to 12/06 hires. FWIW
