Im not an ERJ guy but had an interesting story.
A CAL guy who used to be in my crashpad was very creative and made his own. The box shape was a rigid material (maybe aluminum or abs) and then all pieces were covered in carbon fiber to both reinforce and give it a great look. He bought aluminum corner pieces for the bottoms and the rest of the hardware was from home depot. It looked real great and was sturdy. I am thinking about going this route myself. I am confident it wont last a lifetime but if you do a good job it would be a nice sense of pride and a good conversation piece. |

The Hunt Mfg (former Coyotee Works) bag is of better quality than the Scott bag, is through dyed leather (meaning scratches won't show a different color underneath) and the feet will not get knocked off by any EMB.... walk through ANY bag room. Coyote works with skid plate. built like a tank. Only negative I see(which isn't really a big deal) is the weight. It's heavy but you never have to worry about your junk falling out. Worth every penny.

I used this one for 2 years tool box, but when I bought it it was only $29 and it was durable as heck. I spray painted it black and it was a pretty good case. The only bummer was that it was about an inch shorter than other flight cases, so you couldn't get fancy with carrying extra stuff like a headset.
I would probably sack up and buy the Coyote Works bag with the skid plates... they are good looking bags. |
