ERJ flight kit

Hey all,

What's a good flight kit storing my manuals on the ERJ? I'm looking for something that will last a while and take a beating.

Thanks

Luggageworks vinyl or nylon.

Bought the luggageworks vinyl a few months ago. Ive seen many of these around now and they seem to hold up great for the price. I like mine.. it fits fine in the ERJ and holds 2 company manuals, 3 2inch jepp binders and a 1 inch. Also throw my headset and sunglasses in there too. For 79 bucks you cant beat it.

On a somewhat related note, does anyone know where I can buy a good overnight bag in the Miami area?

Thanks. I'm surprised to see people are suggesting vinyl cases. All the other info I've seen has suggested leather. What are the advantages to vinyl?

If you can swing the high price tag, go with a Scott leather flight kit; they last forever and it will be your only flight kit. I've gone through 3 of those LuggageWorks flight kits...2 leather and one nylon, and they have all fallen apart. Bottom line is the entire line of LuggageWorks flight kits is made of cardboard; some are just covered in a nicer material than others. That's $500 I've spent in flight kits, when I could have just bought the Scott bag and only be $350 in.

LuggageWorks Ballistic Flight Kit. $150. JUUUUUST fits if you don't put anything in the side pockets. 2 company binders, 3 Jepp Manuals, a 1" trip book, and a headset. Nevermind the stuff you can put in the front.

Just started with it. No complaints. Worth the money. Isn't as expensive as others.

If you can swing the price, get a Hunt Manufacturing bag (formerly Coyote Works). They have a lifetime warrenty and will last you for many years. It's cheaper in the long run to buy a nice bag that lasts for over a decade than to keep buying cheap bags that break every year or two.

Either way, the best place that I've seen to get flight bag's is www.flybystore.com, they seem to have the best freebies out of any other crew store that I could find.
