I'd say seniority would be it. You never know what will happen, when hiring will stop. One class can be the difference between employed and furloughed, upgrading or getting stuck in the right seat for years on end, holding a line and having some semblance of quality of life or being stuck on reserve for years.

Extreme, probably but you never know.

A family member of mine dodged a 7 year furlough by 1 or 2 classes.

A part time instructor I worked with upgraded 2 years earlier than his friends in the class right behind him.

The airline industry is way too unpredictable, I would be on my way to MEM if I were you. ( not you etflies)

9E has been at 200% for almost a year..

I talked to an FO that is going to break $60K this year because of this.

I'm already at 55K as a rsv -200 CA as of 7/1. If you know the contract and are willing to be a little flexible it's possible to make some pretty good money.

***... I'm a reserve 900 CA and my Y.T.D. as of Friday was 38050. (and yes I have picked up some premium pay flying as part of it) And if I am looking at the combined list correctly I have at least 1 year longevity on you .

They should make a documentary following the professional life of Pinnacle pilots. It could be just like that HBO special, Cathouse, documenting the professional workers of the Mustang Ranch.

Actually, I believe him. With the trips on the CJ200 you can pick up some very high credit open time at 200% pay. You can't do that on the 900. The average 200 captain makes more than the average 900 captain for similar seniority longevity.

I went and double checked. Yup, $55K but the bonus was in that calculation. So just shy of $50K. My lowest reserve month has been 108 credit, highest 132 credit.
