We actually just got a small pay raise yesterday to almost 16 :D

In regards to "how often does one fly over that..." It depends on the month, but from what I've heard (and seen on the bid sheets) there's plenty of flying to be had to push you over your monthly 75 hour guarantee.

I always thought the idea of going to Great Lakes was quick upgrade...

One of my ME students just got an interview call about 3 weeks ago. He only has 268TT and 36ME. Don't know if he had an internal reccomendation.

Dont forget that most 1900 operators are on 135 times due to their operating weights. that means 1200 a year, 120 a month, and of course 8 a day. We actually have guys time out some months. Thats 120 hours of flying. So you can make some more money that way but you'll be working for it. If you keep that up though you can get the month of December off :). Most ppl can upgrade as soon as they have ATP mins at these companies but they do require at least the ATP mins to upgrade.

He most likely did. It seems that the overwhelming majority of folks that interview here have internal recs...especially with that kind of time. Hope it works out for him.

Accurate, as far as I can tell. Yes, you most certainly will be working for it. Good times.

Isn't there a training contract as well? I suppose it'd be a good experience, but I'm weary of contracts becuase I don't want to get stuck there if I don't like it.

Internal contacts? I have a friend there actually now, and I have alot more than 268 TT and 36 ME. I'm at 460 and 60 ME. Hmm... tempting.
