Allow me to restate:

When the economy totally melts down and the dollar is worthless (a la Wehrmacht 1945) the only thing we will be flying is paper airplanes.

if the us economy is going to melt, could you give me a prediction of where china's economy will be at when that happens?

They're coming down with us... won't be hit as hard as we will, but since every other economy that china relies upon is also tied to ours, they won't make out to well. We haven't seen the worst of this yet (especially if we raise the debt ceiling without restriction), so anything could happen.

Aww come on..... The pilot union and current administration will totally prevent anything that will hurt our economy and future prosperity. With a little luck, we can raise the pilot retirement age to 75 so we can have long and fruitful careers.
