Yeah not sure what you mean by pass rate, but 20% seems insanely low. We were broken up into groups when ground school started and in our group of 8, at least 3 are gone. It's not easy and it's not for everyone. Some people just quit cause it's not what they expected it to be. Not the case in our class but I know of people in other classes.

Isn't Eagle supposed to hire like 670-700 guys this year or something? Are they going to make that? Is there anyone left out there that wants to work at Eagle, has enough time, and can make it through training?

yes i have an idea why. as i said, i was in the july 21st interview class and 1 of 13 got hired. the day before my interview eagle announced it was being sold or will have a spin-off company. they also announced that current eagle pilots and those hired before the middle of october will eventually be given the opportunity to flow into american airlines. they went from a few hundred applications to being flooded with them.

But!!!!, being hired means "Be in class in Oct 11 or before". Hiring date at eagle is your first day of class. So, it can take up to 2 months to get in class.

Only 1 of 13 were hired that day!? any specific reason for this? I have an interview coming up and am more/less on the low end time wise which would require me to go to ATP before a class date. this makes me very nervous.

Just heard from an AE crew that they will be out of applicants in Oct???? Said they get 1 resume per day. They are calling guys they passed over, guys at other regionals, and guys that haven't updated their AE app for 1+ years.

When I applied you had to be in a current flying job, so I wasn't interviewed.

and that is exactly why eagle has all of the sudden become way more selective. if you get into eagle now you are eligible to transition to american airlines.........do you really think they want to provide just anybody with that golden opportunity? here is your answer, 1 in 13

and how do you know they are being "flooded" with resumes? that is just a rumor like all the others. no one knows for sure. a guy after you just stated that they are running out of applicants! not saying that is true either but it just goes to show how informed everyone really is.. i don't think they would have lowered their mins if they anticipated to be flooded with resume's. there has to be another reason why only 1 out of 13 would get the offer. did you feel that your interview had went well?
