With 100 hrs quality multi, like Twin cessna XC stuff, 310, 404, and 421, what sort of total time is needed there these days?

ExpressJet has been hiring at and above the 600TT/100ME mark. The lowest TT I have heard a non-intern getting hired at is 540 but he had a CRJ type.

Been at XJT since March and have loved it. I've never really had any beefs with scheduling but I am one of those folks who treat the schedulers with respect. I live in base so I can't speak for QOL for commuters but we do have a "commuter clause" in our contract and there are a lot of guys here who do commute. From what I have heard, it is fairly easy to drop off turns at the beginning and end of trips to make trips more commutable. I was on reserve 3 months before I had a line but that varies greatly from base to base. If you have any specific questions, feel free to post 'em here or PM me.

Probably a pretty good shot of getting EWR. Seems like classes have been evenly split between IAH and EWR from what I have heard. However, they have been reducing lines in EWR. Ive got friends from class up there who are still on reserve and others who had a line one month but lost it the next month when they reduced lines. Still, you have a good shot of getting it. And if you are sitting reserve at home, who cares how long it lasts.

Default 69 planes

yeah Reduced lines is never good, maybe because summer is comeing to end, hey man I am starting to get really concenred becuas eof the lack of a "stated" plan witht he 69 airplanes, Amy said they would publicly say what they were going to do early Sept, which has come and gone, I hope they have a plan, If i sit reserve for a year thats fine, but getting furloughed would be sad as well as a huge setback

Im not sure if its because of reduced flying or a planned reduction in the size of EWR and CLE and a consolidation in IAH. Seems like I fly more and more trips that spend no time in IAH and have almost all their flying out of EWR and CLE. I know what you mean about no official announcements being made yet, I would have expected to hear something definitive by now. Still, Im not worried about it. We keep hiring which I don't think would be happening if management was convinced we'd be parking the jets. Some of the hiring is for attrition but we aren't losing THAT many guys... Your guess is as good as mine. You should hear lots of good rumors at the training center, those guys always have the best kool-aid
