Out of sheer curiosity, why were you wrongfully terminated? No implications or motive behind the question as I don't know you from Adam and I wasn't aware of such a trend at Pinnacle.

Even despite discussion pre-ISL that a pilot returning should be inserted one senior to the first pilot junior to him/her on their native list.
From previous alpa experience a WRONGUL Termination (ie you did nothing wrong) would get you back at your original seniority. But a termination for cause where there was some sort of misconduct would often get you hired back at a lower (or zero) seniority. I guess it depends on was your termination thrown out on review, ie reinstatement? You should go back to your original seniority, whatever that's worth in the new company. If they just hired you back, maybe a different story. |

Unofficially: Pinnacle needed another name to hang & blame their massive cancellations from last summer on (up to 14% certain days due to staffing) Not that this should matter... Pinnacle bringing me back without an arbitration should speak volumes on how their case looked. What is in your file that lead up to your termination? Your termination papers say one thing...but we all know that you were not fired for "1 miss trip and checking in 1 minute late". |

Agreed.
I'm sick and tired of the company picking and choosing what parts of the contract they want to follow and when they want to follow it. We have a contract as a whole. We need to use every aspect of it as a whole. If this is covered in the contract then it needs to be dealt with in the manner described. End of story. Welcome back btw |
Most agreements contain provisions for appeals and system review boards and such. Key words typically include "exonerated" and "remedies", or "relief" for a pilot reinstated as you state. There may be partial relief depending on your circumstances. If you were completely exonerated, there may be a provision for back pay, benefits, records cleaned, etc., with no loss of seniority or Longevity.
You need to determine your level of "exoneration" and any such provisions available, and of course, contact your representative. |

Thanks Al. No the contract doesn't. And Bloch doesn't account for this either. Just an agreement between merger committees that's being defaulted on. That aside, where else would I belong?
Our Merger Committee is worthless. They have lied to my face multiple times and only tell you what you want to hear. Ask the merger committee for the agreement. If it wasn't in writting, it never happened. I'm sure lots of things were discussed but again, if they didn't put it in writting, it never happened. Oh, just for a short cut for you, I already asked for it, the agreement does not exsist. In fact, the Mesaba guys requested that you be put on the list and integrated with everyone else and our guys refused to put you on the list to avoid this whole problem. Maybe you should call the Mesaba or Colgan guys. They will probably actually give you the truth. Thats what I did and everything makes a lot more sense. |
Welcome back Rama. PM Sent

If what you said is true then you should be put into the list.

JCBA 19.G.
You come back without penalty. You were already fixed in PBS. |
So.....what was 9L and XJ's beef?
|
Are we supposed to believe you were the model employee? Never had an issue, no discipline problems, no training issues, basically unknown to management. Then out of the blue you check in 1 minute late and you get fired....? Sorry but this just doesn't pass the sniff test. There are a lot of B.S. detectors going off among those reading this thread. What's the ENTIRE story?

RAM- no story required. In the future a public msg board is not the place to bring this stuff up. From what I can tell you are fully reinstated, including seniority.

Aren't the Union elections over?

I hope to God this wasn't a political play. The situation was resolved. Ram was informed that this entire thread should have never appeared.

That I can say is incorrect. His internal number was changed within 15 mins of his email stating he was on the wrong spot for a mock run in PBS. It was in the wrong place due to him being on the wrong ISL spot when he returned. We fixed his internal number, then the fireworks began over the ISL number. He is now in the correct spot on both lists inline with the rest of his new hire class from years back.

I'm in PBS. I was the guy that corrected his number and was in the middle figuring out what happened to begin with and his reinstatement agreement. I was going to stay quiet until he started getting lambasted.

Lets face it, the Pinnacle Merger Committee doesn't exactly have the best name.
I flew with several members of the Merger Committee. Biggest firefight I've ever seen. They shot down 15 Q's and 34 Saabs and saved 1100 of our own before they finally bought it. But that's not something Bloch/ALPA wants to advertise when it happened on the wrong side of some imaginary SLI border on a map.... |
