Default Electronic Logbooks

All,

i found a decent program online (freeware, cant beat that) that is an electronic logbook.

i transfered all of my flight info to it with the intention of logging everything i do in the electronic version from here on out.

how do the airlines view printouts from electronic logbooks? obviously i have all of my signoffs, but i like the neater format of the electronic book instead of 6-9 years of crappy chicken scratch.

any info would be greatly appreciated!!!

has anyone gone to an interview with an electronic log book?

thanks in advance.........

I have a homemade electronic logbook and have never had an issue with it! As long as it is easily read, correct, and in logical order, then no problem. Many military pilots don't keep logbooks, but instead take flight time summaries (printed off the computer) to interviews. I haven't heard of any issues about it.

I would suggest though that each page has a signature line for you to scribble a John Hancock on... although not required, it adds a bit of "legitimacy" that interviewers like to see.
