DC Crashpad
I will be moving to DC at the end of the month and was just wondering if anyone knew of any decent crashpads close to DCA. Also is it possible to not have a car and just use the train to get around? Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks

Air Wiskey guy? If so, welcome to DC - it ain't cheap.
Crashpads a walkable distance away from the DCA employee lot in Crystal City are $230-275ish per month. I hear the area is (at least) somewhat nice, and alot of captains I've flown with use those pads.
Go to the Air Willy forum or visit the DCA crew room for more info; you can also call the domicile manager and he'll hook you up with what info he has on pads.

Thanks. That sounds like what I was paying in Milwaukee, so there isn't too much difference there. I did try to get on willy forums, but nobody has been granted access in a while, so I don't know what's going on there. But thanks for the advice, I will have to give them a call.

Since it is much closer now and I have found that most crashpads are looking full, I was wondering if anyone on here knew of any close to DCA. I will be getting there around the 1st week of Nov. Any help would be great!

Try looking around in Arlington & Alexandria. I'm not sure about crashpads, but I know that you can find some decent places to rent a bedroom in a house of people. I actually pay just over $400 / mo. for where I live (about 5 minutes from DCA)- granted it's not a crashpad, but cheaper deals like that are out there. And, if you're not familiar with the area, yes, $400 is cheap for a room.
