I got an interview offer from them a few months back (testing the waters). In the email there was the bit about "we don't pay for transportation, lodging, or training". I emailed them back and said "Shirley you're not serious?". Got a rejection email fairly quickly after that, haha.

They don't have a federal draft at GLA do they? So that would mean that if someone doesn't like they pay they don't have to work there I would think. Wonder if the people at Burger King say "don't go work at Wendy's they have crappy pay". There are good paying jobs and bad paying jobs. Take the one that suits your individual needs whether that be pay, QOL or just the fact that you can get that particular job at this point in your life.

I know, I know everyone claims that if people stopped working for $20K a year then pay would have to raise. NOT GOING TO HAPPEN. With the amount of pilots out of work and on their way up, every crappily paid pilot could quit tomorrow and they would have no problem filling the seat. Hate the managment, hate other pilots that take the jobs, hate whom ever you like. It is what it is.

My guess is that I could take anyone on this board and hand them one million dollars. You have to run company X for me and hire 50 workers. After you hire the workers and pay expenses, then you get to keep whatever is left as your own. Every single person here would do just what the airlines do. Pay as little as possible to fill the position and pocket the extra cash.

Maybe we can trade one of those Brazillias straight up for a scooter to get us to Aspen!

The scooter might have better weight restrictions out of ASE.

Well I was shocked at how the interview went. I thought it was hard but maybe I'm just hard on myself. Fully expect to not get the position.

I think its fair to say people at Burger King/Wendy's say don't work at Greak Lakes because of the crappy pay. There are many better airlines that are looking to hire, no excuse to work there.

The only gauge I looked at was on will fly for food. It was decent, but my nerves blocked out common sense knowledge. In the end it would be nice to get the offer, but I'm not sure if I want it now. A couple things put me off from the place.

1. Pay
2. Training Contract
3. Instability with payments for 1900's

All of which I was aware of before I took the interview, but given an interview makes it more real to you. The thought of hey I might be offered a job where I will have to make significant life changes just to fly a plane didn't settle well with me.
