Can we give the political correctness a break here? My point was that it is not one of the major holidays and is easily overlooked, and has been overlooked by many companies when it comes to pay issues. At PCL it is not even considered a paid holiday for non union employees. Happens all the time with Columbus Day too, but somehow I don't think you're going to get all worked up over somebody forgetting Columbus Day.

Don't fall for it! I was at Comair for 8+ years and our concessions to "save the company" both outside of bankruptcy and during bankruptcy didn't make a difference. In the end, we still became a shell of our former selves as a company while making significantly less money. Make these jerkoffs actually MANAGE through the mess THEY created. It is not your job to pay for their screwup. Your job is to fly the airplane safely and then go home to your loved ones. Period.

I've been here almost 6 years and, whenever there's a problem. It's been taken care of the same day or the following day. Try email next time. You probably had problems because she use to answer to DW. Blame him, not her.
