As of today...
EMB 120: 15-18 Months
CRJ: Just went < 2 years
But current upgrade times don't really mean much for future planning. You have to consider
1) How many pilots are between you and upgrade. Your DOH doesn't mean much...if there was a hiring freeze or slowdown ahead of you, you will "fast forward" at some point. Also if there was a big hiring surge shortly before you were hired, that will slow you down when the surge hits the upgrade window.
2) Growth (or non-growth).
3) Retirements (Age 65?)
4) Captains getting hired by majors (or just quitting the industry in disgust if you happen to be at mesa).

The only addition I have is that the 15-18 months on the EMB is only because it takes the average new hire that long to build 2500TT & 1000 121 crew time. These are SKW mins for upgrade. Once you have it, it's an immediate upgrade on the Emb. I know several pilots who came from Mesaba and other 121 operates that upgrade within 6-8 months if to immediate. The reason for the fast upgrade at SKW is due to the increase needs on the RJ. Many Emb CA are moving to the RJ leave large voids on the Bro.

In the CRJ, do they give you the differences training so you can fly all 3 models? (200/700/900) The only reason I ask is because I read an article about ASA, and from what I understand, in order to fly the 700 there, you had to bid for the training...I could be wrong...

Really? I got put in CRJ class (despite being a piston freight dog and really wanting the bro), is it stupid to go Jet FO to Bro CA with no turboprop time? Is it possible to hold captain on the bro in PSP if you are super junior at Skywest? I would be stoked if upgrade was possible at 12 months. Just wondering your guys thoughts, thanks!
