Default Eagle or Comair?

Which one would you pick? I live in DFW so Eagle would be nice but no guarantee I could get based there right out of class. Which company looks better for a 21 yr old FO in your opinion?

If it was between those 2 only and I lived in Dallas I would go to Eagle. Because you would get Dallas even if it took a short wait. I really dislike commuting so being based at home you could even bid reserve and sit at home all day picking up your check .

Yep, between the 2 it's an easy choice for a DFW resident IMO. Eagle.

Go to Eagle. Comair will be out of business within a few years if not sooner. . .

Sir,

Eagle is a good company, BUT, with the flow back that was negotiated as part of the flow-through, movement is at a virtual standstill. You can probably expect to go to NY right seat until you can bid Dallas. It would be nice to not have to commute, but you can expect to sit right seat for years. If you want to go to Eagle to get some 121 time until something with left seat potential comes along, do it. Eagle is a good company, just no movement. Also, I'm sure AA does a non-stop from DFW to JFK or LGA so it should be a one leg commute.

Joe

AA will begin Recalling their pilots this Jan. So there will be movement.

Guess I should also mention that I'm a FO on the E145 out of STL so I wouldn't make a lateral move just to get 121 time. Just wondering if leaving a job with crappy pay and about a 4 yr upgrade for a job with better pay and mabye a little longer upgrade would be worth it. I don't know how long the Comair upgrade is running right now and what the chances are that they will even be in business in 2 years? Mabye the AA recalls will bring the Eagle upgrade time down to 4-5 years?

You still haven't told us what the only companies that will still be in business in the near future are Ellen. I for one, await your wisdom.

I never said I would tell you WHAT companies would still be in business. I said there are about 4-5 companies that I would work for. I do not quite understand your animosity or your derivation of my words. However, it is apparent that you are a follower vs. a leader.
