How many of you are willing to man up and take a voluntary furlough?

Hopefully the judge will toss the contract and out of seniority furlough's will ensue.

Sorry, but telling someone else to "man up" on an anonymous forum is not "manning up" in itself. Use your name and you will get some respect. :)

There you have it... Said in the conference call, there will be no out of seniority furloughs. They will abide by the JCBA...

Let's see how long that lasts for. They will abide by the JCBA until they can get the judge to ditch it.

Yeeah!! Because the majors have been hiring so much the last few years right. I am not aware of any majors planning to hire anytime soon. I've seen nothing in regards to growth at the majors either. All A/C orders appear to be replacement only. I bet the only thing growing anytime soon is the regionals.

Didn't work for Eagles management. Now that sets precedence for this.

It doesn't matter much anyway. When the very senior ATL900 base closes and displaces into the CR2, considering the quotas on the jet side, there won't be that many 9L guys who will be able to hold any CA slot on a jet. Hopefully it will motivate people to seek greener pastures.

Agreed. That's why it's comical when the regional guys look at the major's retirements and new jet orders and salivate.

Not all airlines require 1000 PIC turbine.

And even the majors that do, hire those without.
