SkyWest stock nosedive

Food for though.

Granted, it's from a local paper so I'm sure there is some bias included but comparing OO to 9E isn't exactly an even comparison. EVERY regional faces challenges, some are better positioned than others to face them.

If you are flying any regional airplane right now, especially a jet with 50 seats, or are owned by a company that owns these jets, good luck.

Can Delta shed SkyWest flying? They sure can, but SKW can shift those airplanes to United, Airways or pick up more Alaska flying. I by no means think SKW is Camelot, but it's in a lot better position compared to many regionals. Perhaps you should get over yourself.
I'm not stuck at 9E sonny boy. I could easily call it a day just like anyone else. Don't get too full of yourself because "you saw the writing on the wall." It doesn't make you special. You just signed up for a longer regional term. Skywest has never been a quick upgrade and never will be. People like it there and those people tend to stick around. What does flying for United or Airways have to do with anything? Skywest flies a contracted number of airplanes for those carriers, which by the way are usually two steps behind Delta. United is fighting to lock down scope and Airways might merge with American who already has enough feed and then I guarantee they'll fight for scope. The fact is you went to another regional, you are not safe. Don't think just because you went to Skywest that you can take a breath. BTW your attitude is pretty lame, I'm glad you left. You remind of that guy with the spiked hair and silver aviators smacking gum while walking through the terminal. Spot on? Or are your shades too dark? Grow up kid. I'm guessing if it weren't for your time at 9E you wouldn't have the mins for Skywest, but now that you do you take on the attitude that you're better than everyone?

It means they have more than one customer. The one good thing about Colgan (when I was hired) was we had three customers, so if one got p!ssy, we still could mitigate our losses by sucking up to the other two. Now that Delta holds the rope around Pinnacle's neck, we are slaves to one master. I don't know how things will shake out, but I'm not betting against "Comair: Act II" in a few years.

I think Delta's plan is to return 2 -200 or more to the lease holders for 1 larger RJ. Not to leave them where they are. Unless skywest owns them ,they can do what the want with the -200. Then the big question is will UCAL or Airways have a need for more =200's.

Just because you're dating three girls doesn't mean that if one starts to cut you off then the other two will magically start putting out more.

Not from my experience, especially when they find out you love the pretty girl more.
