Default Bidding for a week off in PBS (ASA)

I wanted a particular week off for vacation for a family event. Of course I didn't get it and was unable to trade. So how can I bid to maximize the chances of me getting that entire week, or most of it, off? Bid for those days off? Bid for days on? Which one has worked for others in the past? Luck and some smart trading will probably be what I'll have to do, but I'd rather just be awarded it. Funny this month I awarded 6 days off without trying, now I need it and probably won't get it lol. Any advice?

Ive told it which days i want off and that has worked in the past. Just make sure that you give it enough days to get you to 65 with the seniority you have. If youre senior enough you can just tell it you want two four days any other weeks that are worth more than 20.25. Couple of different ways to skin the cat.

Don't worry about bidding man! Just call scheduling 2 hours before the week starts and say this "...hhhhhhhuuuuuuuu, hhhhhhhcuuu, heeey, this is xxx (insert your name), I'm not feeling so good, go ahead and mark me out sick. Thanks." Click. Enjoy the sickacation!
