Great thread title! A Rumor in front of "Pinnacle to cease operations" might not have started a panic!

Either way I call BS! No way would Delta give up scope for the 717 or C-series to be operated under Comair! Nice one though!

I have no doubt that delta would give up scope for just a little more money. The pilots only care about number one, not about making this a better industry.

Unless a business flat out closed its doors (NOT a code share agreement) this would literally be impossible with 140+ aircraft to replace flying for.

Now Pinnacle being winded down over the next few years honestly wouldn't surprise me a bit.

Sorry for any misleading titles.. Just trying to get legitimate feed back into the current situation, happy to change the title. Announcement should follow shortly, but until then mods please feel free to change the title or simply delete the thread. According to people above my pay grade, which is nothing, Comair has agreed to operate certain aircraft, not sure which ones. It appears that Comair will be forced to fly these aircraft/routes as pinnacle will be unable to provide the lift due to upcoming furloughs.

I would hope the DAL MEC would not give 717 ( basically a new -9-50 ) scope away..... Not even for a 30% raise..... I truly believe the vast majority of the pilots at DAL understand that they at the least must hold the line on scope... and should endeavor to recover some portion of that flying.

It seems like this career dies a little each day...

For the record I call bravo sierra

Scope for a 717? Are you out of your mind? That would literally be the end of the industry as we know! If Delta pilots were offered the moon, I would hope they would still turn it down!

What next, Skywest to operate 757s for them? Unbelievable!

Pinnacle wouldn't continue furloughing if new aircraft were on order. But since it is hopefully unlikely Delta will let go this much scope, it doesn't matter. More likely scenario? Pinnacle merges with Comair, and even that is a stretch.

I think an even more likely scenario is a liquidation of Comair and an "asset transfer" or something along those lines.

Care to back that up with any facts?
