Default Rumor: Pinnacle to cease operations

Current rumor is pinnacle will cease all operation by years end and Delta will award new aircraft, c-series or 717, etc, to Comair to cover this flying. Not sure I buy it all, but wanted to see what others think.. Don't shoot the messenger

I find that extremely hard to believe. Even if the ATL 900's left early (they aren't slated to start leaving until January 2013) that's about 180 planes (about 140 200's) that DAL would have to cover flying for (even if they cut a LOT of lift).

CptRyn - just out of curiosity - in what universe is a regional getting planes like the C-series or 717 a good thing? Or an entire company losing all of it's flying? Wow.

Now that's a crazy prediction even by my standards! But, nothing would surprise me.

Why post the title as if this is fact?

Why would anyone give planes to Comair? Their crew costs have to be thru the roof with nothing but senior people there. If any regional gets a 717 or C-series, this career is over. There is going to be nothing left to move on to. I call b.s, but stranger things have happened.

Great thread title! A Rumor in front of "Pinnacle to cease operations" might not have started a panic!

Either way I call BS! No way would Delta give up scope for the 717 or C-series to be operated under Comair! Nice one though!
