Agreed. People like to bash the regionals and predict their demise, but SKW is the most solid of all of them right now. IMHO they will be one of the last ones standing if there really is a collapse of other regionals. I am curious as to their expansion plans. More Alaska flying? Eagle?

I wouldn't be surprised if its a combination of the both. SKW can easily shift airframes to meet additional demand or simply just BUY not lease additional aircraft.

take this job

Rah, xjt will get spanked by delta soon.

SKYW does not have $1 billion in cash on hand. They have about .583 billion, so I suppose one could round up and get $1 billion, right? $583 million is still a lot of cash on hand, not sure if it matters but SKYW stock has been getting hammered lately. FWIW, Republic has about $400 million in cash.

SkyWest Airlines does not own all their airframes either(not sure if that matters), and ExpressJet owns less than half of their airframes(again I'm not sure if that matters. With respect to the United flying, I think SkyWest/ExpressJet controls a lot of the lease terms, but I don't know about Delta.

However, Republic does own the majority of their E-JET airframes...

One has to wonder if this will happen.

SkyWest Airlines is looking solid and has been for quite some time, but ExpressJet and SkyWest are basically, "one in the same" now. ExpressJet is losing money from the high merger costs and SkyWest is picking up the slack. Last quarter they almost broke even, SkyWest posting a profit to make up for the loss of ExpressJet.

Go to Republic, take the first class date. No one knows where this industry will be in 6 months time. Get in and start getting your time and move on.

You could wait for XJT say 6months get in do a year and bail. If you go to RAH you'll be there a minimum of 2yrs remember their training contract and be compensated far less than you would at XJT with soft pay. I don't have a dog in this fight but if it were me, it'd be XJT hands down.

Probably not as bad as you'd expect. The deal includes early lease returns to BBD and XJT owns most of their CR2's.

I vote RAH. Too many unknowns at xjt right now.
