Used to banner tow a few years ago in Foley, Alabama. Found this guy chilling out under our Citabria one afternoon. Our mechanic grabbed his tools and took care of it pretty quickly.

I guess the picture didn't load correctly...how the heck do you upload pictures from your computer on here?

Picked him up, walked him outside.

Then I found out it was a Wheel Bug, which has a bite that can take months to heal. Never felt so stupid. Good thing we have modern medicine, or I would've won a darwin award years ago.
Those things are the Earth version of the bugs in Starship Troopers. You really are lucky you still have both hands.
