Default Delta flight loads help and baggage question

Hey all,

really need help with the loads to NRT on the 29th out of any Delta hub, preferably ATL, JFK, MEM, DTW or MSP. What would the chances of first be as a jumpseater?

Also, what's the policy on checked bags? If I don't make the flight for whatever reason, what happens to it. I am thinking of FedExing my bag ahead to the hotel
but not sure how that'd work.

Thanks in advance!

Very much appreciated!

ATL-NRT shows wide open: 26 business/154 steerage.
DTW-NRT shows wide open: 27 business/184 steerage.
MSP-NRT shows wide open: 24 business/94 steerage.

Good luck. Not sure what the checked bag policy is.

There isn't a direct flight out of MEM, but any of the others look good -- twenty-something open in business and 100-something open in coach. A warning does pop up saying that Obon is going on until September 2nd and non-rev travel is discouraged to Japan, but there are plenty of seats. Not sure how they handle checked bags for a jumpseater -- for a non-rev they just put a stand-by tag on the bag, load it last and make sure you've been cleared.

(oops, typed too slow)

My experience with NRT has always been wide open getting there, oversold on the way back. That's mostly been on UA and positive space but check your return flights too.
